My days in Paris are almost over. I have done and seen so much these last days. I have been to the Sacré Coeur, Louvre, Pompidou and tried the magnifique macarron from Ladurée.
Today I spent the day walking around Paris. I have been to Louvre for the first time. I am not really much of an Arts person in the aspect that I don't really understand much of it but usually if I recognize a piece of art I like to take my time to understand and know a bit more about it. Once in Louvre of course I went to see Leonardo Da Vinci masterpiece, La Jaconda (aka Mona Lisa). I can say that it's quite a small paint but this is not the interesting bit. I have read about Mona Lisa before and it was said that if you are in any corner of the room Mona Lisa is looking at you.

As part of my very cultural day I went for lunch to the Café de Flore, this was the place where Hemingway, Jean Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir used to meet for coffee. The place is amazing, so french and chic but I didn't go there because of that. I just wanted to be where these remarkable people have been, be inspired by them and wish and wonder where the remarkable people from nowadays are? But I guess the biggest question is, who those? Who are the Hemingways and Sartres of nowadays?
I finished the visiting Centre Pompidou with an amazing view over Paris and had tea at Ladurée, the place with the best macarrons in Paris!! And now I can confirm, Oh dear!! How delicious those little precious are yummy!
The funniest part of this, it was the fact that my cousin Isabel was really worried and upset because I was going to be all day alone in Paris... Silly cousin! Once I remind her that I was going to the other side of the world by myself I think she realized that I would be ok and me as well.
Now is time for the second leg of the trip, leave Europe and go to Asia!!
Au revoir Paris! Je t'aime. À toute l'heur
